February is National Children’s Dental Health Month.  The 2017 slogan is “Choose Tap Water for a Sparkling Smile.”  The City of Monroe (COM) division of Parks & Recreation will partner with local dentists and others to give away free toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss and etc. The community outreach effort will take place Saturday, February 25, 2017, during the 36th Annual Black Heritage Parade.

Anyone interested in making a donation should contact Arthur B. Hayes, COM Youth Coordinator, at 318-267-2852 or Carl Brown at 318-547-4777.

Special thanks to The Monroe Renaissance Committee, Kool Smiles, Jan Bagwell, D.D.S., and Dr. Roderick Coleman.
