City of Monroe, LA

WHAT:  Mayor Jamie Mayo and the Monroe City Council, in conjunction with the Dept. of Children & Family Services, invite the media and public to the Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services Annual Adoption Awareness Month Event.

WHEN:  1 pm Wednesday, November 1, 2017 

WHERE:  Monroe City Hall (City Council Chamber) 400 Lea Joyner Expressway, Monroe, LA 71202

WHY: November is National Adoption Awareness Month.  The particular focus is the adoption of children who are in foster care.  Currently, there are more than 4000 children in the State of Louisiana who are in foster care.  More than 600 of those children are in the Monroe region.
