The Sewer Division is responsible for:

• Providing the citizens of Monroe with adequate sanitary sewer service
• Maintaining, & repairing sewer service and sewer main lines.
• Installing sewer taps and clean-out boxes on service lines.
• Video inspecting sewer service and sewer main lines.
• Locating and marking sewer lines.
• Extending sewer lines.
• Making all repairs on force mains.
• Reporting Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSO’s) to the LA Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
• Reporting sewer overflows to the Department of Environmental Quality.
• Correcting any SSO’s by making necessary repairs
• Maintaining storm water pump stations

All functions of the Sewer Division are provided by courteous employees, and each assignment is performed in a professional and timely manner.
