Pump Station Information

As part of our daily tasks, we have 18 storm water pump stations and 63 sewer pump or lift stations, located throughout the city, which we perform routine maintenance and check on a daily basis.

ROCHELLE

Rochelle storm water pump station was constructed in 1980. It is equipped with 3 diesel driven pumps with a pump capacity of 60,000 gallons per minute; with a total discharge capacity of 259 MGD (million gallons per day).

POPE WEST MINISTER

Pope West Minister storm water pump station was constructed in May of 1993. It is equipped with two (2) pumps driven with electric motors with a capacity of 60,000 gallons per minute. It also has one (1) diesel powered pup for a back up with a capacity of 80,000 gallons per minute. This station has a total discharge capacity of 287 MGD (million gallons per day).

PINE STREET

Pine Street storm water pump station was constructed in 1984. It is equipped with four (4) pumps driven by electric motors with a capacity of 50,000 gallons per minute. The total discharge capacity of this station is 288 MGD million gallons per day. It also has a diesel powered generator for alternate power in the event of a power failure.

STANDIFER AVENUE

Standifer Avenue sewer pump station was constructed in 2004. It replaced a station that was completely torn down. It is equipped with four (4) pumps driven by electric motors rated at 4,390 gallons per minute with a total discharge capacity of 25.3 MGD (million gallons per day).

TEXAS AVENUE

Texas Avenue sewer pump station was constructed in 2004, replacing a station that was completely torn down. It is equipped with four (4) motors. These pumps are rated at 5,670 gallons per minute. This station has a total discharge capacity of 27 MGD (million gallons per day).

HADLEY STREET

Hadley Street sewer pump station was constructed in 1982. It was rehabilitated in 2004. This station is equipped with three (3) pumps driven by electric motors. These pumps are rated at 5,670 gallons per minute having a total discharge capacity of 24.5 MGD (million gallons per day).
