The best way to fight fire is to prevent it from ever occurring. We focus the efforts of our Fire Prevention Division on the three "E's" of fire prevention; Education, Engineering and Enforcement. We truly believe that quality public education is the key to the prevention of fires in our community. We provide direct education of school age children in fire safety and prevention. We distribute fire safety literature within our community and assist local schools with planning and implementing fire drills. We utilize our "Fire Safety House" to it's fullest extent to get our fire safety message into the community. We also inspect local businesses to help business owners maintain a fire safe environment for patrons. |
