Monroe Fire Department - Maintenance
The members of the Maintenance Division are responsible for keeping our emergency response vehicles and equipment ready to respond in the event of an emergency. This division also oversees the testing of fire hose, self-contained breathing apparatus and ladders used by our Suppression Division. Other services performed by this division include automobile body and paint work. The mechanics utilize a computer software program to track repairs and schedule routine preventative maintenance procedures. The Maintenance Division staff consists of three mechanics, a mechanic's helper and one part-time employee.
